The Ho West District Assembly on Thursday, 9th March 2023 have organized a staff durbar at the District Assembly Hall to deliberate on staff welfare, provide updates, share information and also receive and address staff concerns.
In his welcome address, the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor briefed staff on the funeral arrangements of the late Miss Justine Kupomey, construction of urinal, reshaping and gravelling of some town roads in the district by the Feeder Roads and the upcoming 2022 Performance Contract Assessment.
He urged staff to be punctual and avoid lateness to work or leaving work early as it breaches the code of conduct of the Local Government Service. He also thanked Staff for their commitment and hard work for working to be the 49th and 1st Assembly in the national and regional ranking of MMDAs in the 2021 District League Table (DLT).
On his part, the District Chief Executive of Ho West also stressed the need for staff to work to improve on our performance in the National League Table and other assessments that would be conducted subsequently by the VRCC and the MLGDRD. He further emphasized the need for synergies between departments and Units to ensure effective implementation of activities to boost productivity and performance.
Hon. Apau entreated staff not to relent on their oars but to keep the momentum to achieve the goal and mission of the Assembly. He also took the opportunity to advise staff to take good care of their health as its critical to the wellbeing of a person.
The District Planning Officer, Mr. Ebenezer Nkrumah and the Assistant Planning Officer, Mr. Joel K-Kojo Sackey made presentations on the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project (GPSNP 2) and the District League Table respectively to enable staff become abreast with some activities to be implemented in the district in 2023.
There was an open forum section where Staff were given the opportunity to raise their concerns which were addressed by Management.
